Description
Crispy and golden Brussels sprouts cooked in an air fryer, making a healthy and delicious side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts
- 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced (optional)
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze or reduced balsamic vinegar (optional)
- Drizzle pomegranate molasses (optional)
- 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup (optional)
- 3 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Trim off the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any brown outer leaves, then cut each sprout in half. For large sprouts, cut into quarters.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F for about 3 minutes.
- If soaked, drain and pat the Brussels sprouts dry. Drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper, toss to coat evenly.
- Place the Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket. Cook for 5 minutes, shake, and cook for another 5 minutes.
- If not crispy enough, cook for an additional minute until desired crispiness.
- If using, add the sliced garlic and cook for another 2-4 minutes until crisp.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and stir in desired toppings. Enjoy hot.
Notes
Make sure to dry the Brussels sprouts well after washing to ensure they become crispy.
