Description

Crispy and golden Brussels sprouts cooked in an air fryer, making a healthy and delicious side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze or reduced balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • Drizzle pomegranate molasses (optional)
  • 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Trim off the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any brown outer leaves, then cut each sprout in half. For large sprouts, cut into quarters.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F for about 3 minutes.
  3. If soaked, drain and pat the Brussels sprouts dry. Drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper, toss to coat evenly.
  4. Place the Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket. Cook for 5 minutes, shake, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. If not crispy enough, cook for an additional minute until desired crispiness.
  6. If using, add the sliced garlic and cook for another 2-4 minutes until crisp.
  7. Transfer to a serving bowl and stir in desired toppings. Enjoy hot.

Notes

Make sure to dry the Brussels sprouts well after washing to ensure they become crispy.
