Description
A quick and healthy Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry that’s flavorful and easy to make, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp sriracha
- 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 head green cabbage
- 2 carrots
- 3 green onions
- 1/2 Tbsp neutral cooking oil
- 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 Tbsp fresh grated ginger
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 Tbsp sriracha (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, sriracha, and brown sugar together to create the stir fry sauce.
- Shred the cabbage, slice the carrots, and chop the green onions. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the neutral cooking oil. Once hot, add the ground beef, garlic, ginger, and a pinch of salt and pepper; cook until the beef is browned.
- Add the shredded cabbage and sliced carrots to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables start to wilt.
- Pour in the stir fry sauce and add the green onions. Stir everything together until well combined.
- Serve hot, topped with sesame seeds and extra sriracha if desired.
Notes
Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry is best served immediately while hot. You can enjoy it alone or over rice or noodles.
