Description

A simple and sweet treat that looks special, perfect for gifts or parties.

Ingredients

  • 24 average-size strawberries (dry)
  • 12 ounces baking chocolate
  • 6 ounces pink candy melts
  • 6 ounces white candy melts
  • 6 ounces red candy melts
  • Valentine sprinkles
  • 24 lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. Pinch the stem and leaves off the top of each strawberry and gently insert a lollipop stick in the center.
  2. Prepare a piece of styrofoam to hold the pops by punching 24 holes in it with one of the sticks.
  3. Using a double boiler, slowly melt the chocolate over low heat or use the microwave method, microwaving in 30-second increments and stirring in between until melted.
  4. Dip the strawberries in the chocolate, coating down to the stick, ensuring there are no gaps or bubbles.
  5. Shake off the excess and place in the Styrofoam holder to dry.
  6. Once the chocolate is dry, repeat with the colored candy melts, alternating colors and dipping shallower to create layers.
  7. After the final dip, sprinkle with Valentine sprinkles and place back in the holder to dry.
  8. Wrap and distribute immediately, or keep them fresh in the fridge for up to 2 days by wrapping the strawberries in wax paper and placing them inside a plastic container.

Notes

Use fully dry strawberries; water stops chocolate from sticking. Work on room-temperature berries for best results.
