Description

A delightful no-bake dessert with layers of chocolate goodness, perfect for gatherings and family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 36 Oreos (about 14.3 ounces)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 containers of 8 ounces each whipped topping, thawed and divided
  • 2 boxes of 3.4 ounces each chocolate instant pudding
  • 2 1/2 cups nonfat milk
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish


Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos in a food processor until they are fine crumbs. Combine them with the melted butter and press the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Chill the crust for a bit to set.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Then add in the vanilla extract. Fold in one container of the thawed whipped topping and spread this mixture over the Oreo crust. Chill again.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and nonfat milk for about 5 minutes until the pudding is soft-set. Spread this pudding layer over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Top with the remaining whipped topping and sprinkle chocolate shavings on top for decoration.
  5. Chill the whole dessert for at least 120 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a crunchier crust, use less butter or add chopped nuts to the Oreo mixture. Adjust layers or use different pudding flavors for variation.
