Description
Rich, chewy cookies filled with Valentine colors, perfect for celebrations or gifts.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon water or brewed coffee
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 (3 to 3.5 ounce) box INSTANT chocolate pudding mix
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups Valentine M&Ms
- 1/4 cup Valentine sprinkles
Instructions
- Chill the dough first to keep the cookies from spreading.
- Line a cookie sheet with a silpat baking mat or parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugars in a stand mixer.
- Mix in vanilla, egg, and water (or coffee).
- Add cocoa powder and pudding mix and mix until smooth.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to wet and mix until just combined.
- Stir in M&Ms and sprinkles.
- Scoop 2 tablespoon-sized balls onto prepared sheet. Press M&Ms on top.
- Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Place cookies 2 inches apart on cookie sheet and press down slightly.
- Bake for 10-14 minutes until glossy sheen fades.
- Cool on sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
