Description

Creamy and flavorful Marry Me Chicken in a rich tomato sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 3 to 4 Large Chicken Breasts
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • 3/4 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Sundried Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Fresh Basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Season chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper, then sear until golden, about 4 to 5 minutes per side.
  4. Transfer chicken to a plate.
  5. Return skillet to medium heat, add minced garlic, and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Stir in thyme, red pepper flakes, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring often.
  7. Stir in chopped sundried tomatoes and grated parmesan cheese.
  8. Return seared chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the chicken breasts.
  9. Bake until cooked through, about 15 to 18 minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil and additional grated parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Pat chicken dry before searing for a good crust. Use a meat thermometer; chicken is done at 165°F. Stir the sauce often to prevent breaking.
