A delightful twist on the classic pecan pie, these Pecan Pie Bars offer rich, nutty flavors in a convenient bar form.
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- In a bowl, cream together brown sugar and butter until smooth.
- Gradually mix in flour and salt, pressing the mixture into the bottom of the prepared dish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- In another bowl, whisk together corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, and chopped pecans.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 35-45 minutes until the filling is set.
- Allow to cool, then cut into bars. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Serve at room temperature. Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
