Description

A delightful twist on the classic pecan pie, these Pecan Pie Bars offer rich, nutty flavors in a convenient bar form.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, cream together brown sugar and butter until smooth.
  3. Gradually mix in flour and salt, pressing the mixture into the bottom of the prepared dish.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, and chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 35-45 minutes until the filling is set.
  8. Allow to cool, then cut into bars. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Serve at room temperature. Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
