Description

Delicious roasted Brussels sprouts that are crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, making them a perfect healthy side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F and place a rack in the upper third of the oven.
  2. Place the Brussels sprouts on a large rimmed baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any other desired spices. Mix gently until evenly coated.
  4. Spread Brussels sprouts into a single layer with cut sides down.
  5. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until charred and crisp on the outside and tender inside, tossing halfway and rotating the pan for even cooking.
  6. Season to taste and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add balsamic glaze or sprinkle with Parmesan cheese just before serving.
