Ingredients

- Cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, brie, American, etc.)
- Butter or mayo

Instructions
- Preheat a pan over low to medium-low heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Spread butter or mayo on the outer sides of two slices of bread.
- Layer shredded cheese in the middle and add any extra ingredients if desired.
- Set the sandwich in the pan and cook until the bottom is golden and melty, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Cover for 30 to 60 seconds to melt the cheese.
- Flip the sandwich and cook until the second side is deep golden, 2 to 4 minutes.
- Press lightly for better contact and rest the sandwich before slicing.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with different bread and cheese combinations for unique flavors. Add veggies or other toppings for extra texture.
