Ingredients
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 pound chicken breast, cubed
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Bring the chicken broth to a boil and add the orzo pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the cubed chicken, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if desired. Cook until browned and cooked through.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until tender.
- Stir in the cooked orzo, heavy cream, and shredded cheese. Mix until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
