A delightful dish combining creamy dressing with fresh vegetables, perfect for barbecues and potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz small pasta noodles (rotini, shells, or farfalle)
  • 2 cups frozen peas, thawed
  • 12 oz thick-cut bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Rinse it under cold water and drain well.
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then crumble it into small pieces.
  3. Thaw the frozen peas by leaving them out or running them under warm water.
  4. Whisk together the mayonnaise, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to make the dressing.
  5. Combine the pasta, thawed peas, crumbled bacon, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese in a large bowl.
  6. Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture and toss everything together until well combined.
  7. Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least one hour, or serve right away if you prefer.

Notes

For a lower-calorie option, use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise. Customize the dressing with herbs or spices to your liking.
