A creamy and tangy Middle Eastern yogurt dip, perfect for sharing with crisps, veggies, or as a spread.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk Greek yogurt
  • Heaping 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • Extra-virgin olive oil (for drizzling)
  • Za’atar
  • Crushed pistachios
  • Lemon zest
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Crisp veggies, pita, or crackers (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the yogurt and salt until well combined.
  2. Scoop the mixture onto a layer of cheesecloth, gathering the edges together and tie around a wooden spoon over a medium bowl.
  3. Chill in the refrigerator overnight.
  4. Carefully unwrap the labneh, transfer into a bowl, and drizzle with olive oil and your chosen toppings.
