Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 medium head of cabbage, shredded
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Salt, to taste
2 stalks green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Prepare the ingredients: Start by gathering all your ingredients together. Chop the onion, mince the garlic, and shred the cabbage.
Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook it until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, which should take about 5-7 minutes.
Add the vegetables: Once the beef is cooked, add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Incorporate the cabbage: Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet. Stir well and let it cook down for about 5 minutes or until the cabbage is tender.
Flavor the dish: Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sesame oil, grated ginger, black pepper, and salt. Mix everything well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Garnish and serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
Adjust seasoning to taste; add more veggies for crunch.
