These No Bake Cake Batter Protein Balls combine the delicious flavor of cake batter with protein for a nutritious snack that requires no baking.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (e.g., almond or peanut butter)
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the protein powder, nut butter, oats, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined and form a sticky dough.
  3. If desired, stir in sprinkles for added fun.
  4. Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
  5. Place the protein balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  7. Enjoy immediately, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes

To make mixing easier, slightly warm the nut butter. If the mixture is too dry, add more honey or nut butter. Customize with chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or dried fruit.
