A delightful dish combining the sweetness of orange with savory ground chicken, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 orange, juiced and zested
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add ground chicken to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  4. In a bowl, mix orange juice, zest, soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar.
  5. Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to coat. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until everything is heated through.
  6. Serve over cooked rice and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Use fresh orange juice for the best flavor. Adjust the sweetness as desired and consider adding red pepper flakes for heat.
