Description
Delicious slow cooker meatballs featuring a sweet and spicy honey buffalo sauce, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Frozen Meatballs (Beef, Turkey, or Homestyle)
- 3/4 cup Franks RedHot Original Sauce (or your favorite buffalo sauce)
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1/2 cup Apricot Preserves
- 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- Optional: Pinch of cayenne pepper for extra heat
- Sliced Green Onions
- Fresh Cilantro
- Blue Cheese or Ranch dressing (for dipping)
Instructions
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the buffalo sauce, honey, apricot preserves, brown sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
- In a slow cooker, place the frozen meatballs and pour the glaze over them. Stir gently to coat all the meatballs.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 240 minutes or HIGH for 120-180 minutes.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, uncover the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Stir the meatballs again before serving and garnish with sliced green onions or fresh cilantro.
Notes
For spicier meatballs, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
