Delicious smash burgers with crispy edges and juicy centers, perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lb 80/20 Ground Beef
  • 1 Large Yellow Onion (optional)
  • ¼ cup Avocado Oil
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 4 Hamburger Buns
  • 8 slices American Cheese (optional)
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • ¼ cup Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Sriracha

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and sriracha. Stir until creamy and well-blended.
  2. Take the ground beef and gently form it into 4 balls, about 4 ounces each.
  3. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle in the avocado oil.
  4. Place the beef balls in the skillet, smash each down into a patty, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes until crispy brown, then add slices of cheese on top and cover to melt.
  6. Toast the buns in a separate pan or toaster until lightly toasted.
  7. Assemble the burgers with the burger sauce, cheesy patties, and any desired toppings.

Notes

Experiment with toppings for a personalized touch. Use high-fat ground beef for juicy burgers.
