Ingredients

Scale
  • 0.25 cup Olive Oil
  • 0.25 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 1.5 pounds Sirloin Steak, cut into 1¼ inch pieces
  • 2 cups Button or Cremini Mushrooms
  • 2 cups Bell Peppers
  • 1 large Red Onion, diced into 1¼-inch chunks
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • optional Garlic Powder
  • as needed pieces Wooden Skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, black pepper, salt, and pepper. This will be your marinade.
  2. Add the sirloin steak pieces into the marinade. Mix well so every piece gets coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for deeper flavor in the fridge.
  3. While the steak is marinating, prepare your vegetables. Cut the mushrooms, bell peppers, and red onion as described in the ingredients list.
  4. Once marinated, thread the steak pieces and the veggies onto the soaked wooden skewers alternately.
  5. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  6. Grill the kebabs for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness and the veggies are tender.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers for at least 30 minutes before grilling. Feel free to swap out vegetables and try different meats or meat substitutes.
