Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups refrigerated pie crusts
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: pickles, mustard, ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in salt, pepper, and half of the cheese.
- Roll out one pie crust in a pie dish, then pour the beef mixture into the crust.
- Whisk together milk and eggs in a mixing bowl, then pour over the beef mixture.
- Top with the remaining cheese and cover with the second pie crust, sealing the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then serve with optional toppings.
Notes
For extra flavor, add garlic powder or Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture. Brush the top with an egg wash for a crispier crust.
