Description

A comforting and satisfying one-pan meal that combines the flavors of a classic cheeseburger into a cozy pie, perfect for busy families.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups refrigerated pie crusts
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: pickles, mustard, ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in salt, pepper, and half of the cheese.
  4. Roll out one pie crust in a pie dish, then pour the beef mixture into the crust.
  5. Whisk together milk and eggs in a mixing bowl, then pour over the beef mixture.
  6. Top with the remaining cheese and cover with the second pie crust, sealing the edges.
  7. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes, then serve with optional toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, add garlic powder or Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture. Brush the top with an egg wash for a crispier crust.
